Intensive Training for Lead Learners

This programme is designed to complement the 6 day Accelerated Learning NLC programme. It is ideal for teachers who are already considered skilled practitioners and have the commitment and enthusiasm to implement new learning methodologies. They need to be willing to undertake action research, share and disseminate their findings and skills with colleagues and become lead teachers of Accelerated Learning.

Programme Format
Each cohort of participants will undertake 6 training days over the life of the project. The days are paired and will run over three terms. Each participant will need to attend all training days. Between each pair of training days participants will undertake action research on an aspect of Accelerated Learning of their choice. During the training programme they will have the opportunity to provide feedback and disseminate their findings.

Overview of the programme
The programme is designed to thoroughly familiarise participants with Accelerated Learning techniques and the Accelerated Learning model so they can successfully apply these in their own classroom. Built into the programme are opportunities to develop skills in presenting and supporting others so that participants will be better prepared to disseminate practice and support developments in their school and throughout the Networked Learning Community.
