  • Case studies include Learning to Learn, Assessment for Learning, Personalised Learning through ICT, Primary Transition and Creative Approaches
  • Specially commissioned conference book packed with best practice

Alite 2005 is about the Ôlearning' in Personalised Learning. If your interest is theoretical or practical we have something for you. As well as real examples, authentic stories and practical tips our presenters provide thought provoking insights.

Our keynote speakers shape the day by offering very different perspectives on what personalised learning means for them.

Alistair Smith will introduce the conference and provide an overview.

Dr Raj Persaud gives a scientific perspective on what makes each of us the individual we believe we are. How do we develop our personalities? Given the complexity of the process is it ever possible to genuinely personalise any learning experience?

Dame Tamsyn Imison brings a wealth of teaching and leadership experience as well as her own views on creativity. She asks three questions: What does it mean to be creative? Can a school become creative? Is it possible to bring creativity to personalising learning?

Shaun Wallace has been given a broad brief. He will bring his own idiosyncratic approach to the key questions: what constitutes talent and how should we develop it?

Our Case Study Presentations are organised into four strands: Creative Approaches, Perspectives on Personalised Learning, Primary Experience and Secondary Experience. We have taken great care to ensure balance so that you can customise you choices. If your interest is in Learning to Learn or Assessment for Learning, student choice, transition, inclusion, motivational models, creativity or Accelerated Learning then we have a combination of case studies for you.

We hope that once again you will be provoked by, learn from and enjoy Alite 2005
