and observe within an easily understood framework.

Out with Accelerated Learning will answer these questions

This
new programme from Alite shows you how to use the Accelerated
Learning cycle. It will
help
you begin to transform learning in your classroom and your
school. If you are keen to
freshen
you thinking about learning, build your confidence as a classroom
practitioner or
re-invigorate learning across your school Starting Out with
Accelerated Learning is for you!
The
National Events programme is led by Nicky Anastasiou, one
of the UK's most
experienced trainers and innovators in Accelerated Learning.
Nicky designed and delivers
for Alite its prestigious Lead Learner programme.
Starting
Out with Accelerated Learning is designed in three areas of
focus: learning, learners
and
leading. It provides a model for thinking about learning,
the theory behind it, video case
studies
of Accelerated Learning in action and practical classroom
tools for starting out.
Participants
will have the opportunity to:

- experience the AL Cycle and
be shown how to use it to design and deliver powerful

Optional
Day Two
This
day is for classroom practitioners and teachers with responsibility
for leading learning
and
teaching who wish to have further time to take part in an
intensive practical session using
the 4 phase Accelerated Learning Cycle as a planning tool.
By
the end of the day participants will have experienced the
Cycle for planning in depth a
subject topic and considered how to:
- Activate learning
through planning for multi-sensory learning activities
- Build in brain
breaks for keeping engagement
- Identify success
criteria that encourages learners to see the benefits of
the learning
- Build in choice
for the learner
- Incorporate
a range of questioning strategies to encourage higher order
thinking
- Identify and
pay attention to the 5 key learning dispositions that enhance
effective learning behaviours
- Notice the
principles that underpin the planning
And
to go away being able to:
- Use the outcomes
of the planning for their own practice in the classroom
- Observe practice
through the use of the cycle
- Use practical
strategies for developing AL with staff
