WIGMORE
PRIMARY SCHOOL
Dear Sarah
I wanted
to drop you a line to let you know what a wonderful
start we had to 2005 with our INSET day on Accelerated
Learning. All 99 staff from the four schools left
feeling very positive and enthusiastic about things
they could do to improve learning within their classrooms
and their schools as a whole. You were, as ever,
a truly motivating speaker who captured the interest
of the whole audience throughout the day, which is no
mean feat on the first day back after the Christmas
break! I am certain that this day will have a
big impact on the future work of our schools and on
the learning of more than 1200 chiuldren in this part
of Luton. Thank you!
Yours
sincerely

DJANOGLY CITY TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE
Dear Sarah
I am writing to thank you on behalf of all
the staff from College for the excellent training session
you
delivered on 'Accelerated Learning' on Tuesday.
The
staff are buzzing with ideas and we will certainly
be implementing some of the ideas you shared with
us. I think all of our staff training will now begin
with us all 'itching knees'!!
Personally, this is
one of the best training sessions I have attended for
a very long time. Your style
of delivery was superb and I know that the staff
felt the same way.
We will certainly be recommending
you to colleagues in other establishments; in fact
I have already done
this.
Once again, many thanks and I hope we may be
able to work with you again in the future.
Yours sincerely

MANGOTSFIELD C.E. (VC) PRIMARY SCHOOL
Well you've
really started something now! My staff were full
of the training when we reviewed it at
our staff meeting on Monday - following the best
practices of Accelerated Learning. I've just observed
a class being taught science and walked past a second
class both of which were working in a way that they
would not have been before Friday. One of my colleagues
who sent three of her teachers to the course phoned
me to say that the three teachers had gone back to
their school on Friday straight from the training
specifically to enthuse about what they had learnt.
Sarah
was a very impressive trainer. I know that the training
will make a significant difference to
my school's children and to those across this little
part of South Gloucestershire whose teachers also
attended. Thank you for organising this from your
end.

WEST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
Dear Sarah
Thinking skills Conference
Crawley
At the end of your session on Friday I described
your contribution as stunning. I still cannot think
of a better word.
Not only did you give an enormous number of classroom tactics and practices
that people could employ without delay in teaching their children, but you
also constantly set each approach within the overall strategy of developing
thinking through the principals of accelerated learning.
In fact, the manner of your management of this session demonstrated clearly
and unequivocally the principles which you sought to bring before the conference
delegates. Your session was received overwhelmingly positively. 'Brilliant'
was not an uncommon adjective.
Thank you again for joining us last week. I hope
we shall see you again and much more frequently,
here in West Sussex.
Yours sincerely
Kenneth Pritchard,
Chief Adviser

ABBEY GRANGE C OF E HIGH SCHOOL
Sarah's training
was simply excellent! She left a staff enthused and
encouraged, believing they could
achieve even more by adopting some of the ideas presented
so well by Sarah. Sarah's style and practical approach
meant that all staff felt there was something they
could take away from the training - and the majority
are already starting to use ideas in practical and
meaningful ways. To have comments such as ' "The best training I have ever had" and "I can't wait to try ideas
out in the classroom" may give some indication of the success of the day. Carol Kitson,
Acting Head Teacher
Abbey Grange C of E High School

ST MICHAELS PRIMARY CLUSTER

ideas. Brilliant.

LA HOUGETTE PRIMARY SCHOOL, GUERNSEY
Following
our highly successful training day on Monday June24th,
'Accelerated Learning in the Classroom', I want to express my appreciation
for the quality of presentation given by Sarah Mook that day. All the local
schools involved in the day have been highly complimentary about her delivery
and the value of the course to the staff. The level of preparation, choreography
and the thought that had gone into the day was obvious and was the vital factor
in ensuring the day was successful.
Thank you again for the day. Andrew Warren, Headteacher,
La Hougette Primary School, Guernsey.

BEDFORD COUNTY COUNCIL
I would like to write to
let you know that this Inset session led by Sarah
to 60 teachers was an
enormous success and to thank you for organising
such excellent practical sessions. Sarah was an inspiration
to all who attended, many of whom though it was the
best Inset they had taken part in for a long time.
Sarah was particularly praised by staff for her lively
and engaging presentation.
The Resource Packs were of a superb quality and the 'party bags of goodies
' were really well received. Teachers have gone back to try ideas in the classroom
and I am sure they will be asking me to organise ALPS Day 3 for them.
Thank you, once again,
Yours sincerely, Clare Ogden, Bedford County Council.

GREENFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL
I am delighted with the
enthusiasm and keen interest with which staff have
responded to the day. There
was unanimous agreement on the excellence of the
quality and usefulness of the training and many staff
have already put some of the ideas into practice.
It was fantastic to see a mind map on the white board
on the first day!!
Your humour, simple delivery and
obvious commitment to the process were noted and well
received. I feel
confident that the quality of teaching and learning
and subsequent standards will be raised at Greenfield
as a direct result of the day. Thank you. Linda Osborn, Head Teacher, Greenfield Primary

FELPHAM COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Dear Sarah,
I am writing on behalf of the staff at Felpham
Community College to thank you for a most stimulating
day on
Thursday. We all need to be reminded of good practice
and you helped us all to focus on a large variety
of ideas, which when we use them, will help to stimulate
the students’ learning.
During period 1 this
morning, my Year 7 maths class benefited. They really
enjoyed discussing their work
on symmetry, which was very different from the experience
they would have had if I had not had your input on
Thursday.
We are all talking about scratch, knee,
sun etc and the music teacher is advertising tapes
at 50p
a go!
We all look forward to meeting you again and
hope you enjoyed visiting us as much as we enjoyed
welcoming
you.
Thank you again.
Yours sincerely Mrs K A Purvis, Chair of Staff, Felpham Community
