WILLIAM BROOKES SCHOOL

Dear Alistair

I am writing to thank you very much indeed for leading our Joint Professional Development Day so successfully. As I said at the time the staff enjoyed it very much and also felt that it was both interesting and relevant. Everybody who has spoken to me since has been very positive indeed and the key question for us will be how we take things forward. It was good to be led by such a skilled and entertaining practitioner - you demonstrated the whole cycle in practice.

Thank you.

DAWLISH COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Dear Alistair

I would like to say how much I enjoyed your AL training day at South Devon Professional Training Centre at Dartington. It was the best piece of INSET I have experienced in 15 years. The content and delivery were inspirational and I felt genuinely motivated to rethink many of the basic approaches to learning. Although I have been a convert to AL for many years through your books - the live presentation accelerated my understanding.

I look forward to seeing you again and passing on the wisdom to a larger audience.

Dear Alistair

Thank you for yesterday's inspiring one day course on accelerated learning .... You had a broad brief.  There were 16 schools represented with a range of staff - but I think you provided something for everyone to take away with them ... We appreciated the handbook and the practical suggestions you gave.  But what we really valued was the way you shared the philosophy you espouse.  Your invitation to use it, adapt it and make it our own was a generous one.  You made it clear that teaching at its best is not a to-do list, but an exciting challenge to reach out and positively influence the very pschye of a new generation.  Accelerated Learning came across as a way of thinking and being.  We certainly came away energised with renewed vision and broadened horizons!
