Michele Miller
Michele is an Alite Consultant, an experienced teacher, trainer and Sport Psychologist to Olympic level.
Michele completed her first degree in Sport Science and Education. She went on to complete a Masters degree in Sport Psychology at Loughborough University.
Michele's career in Education spans 16 years, with teaching experiences in Secondary and Higher Education in Sport Science and Psychology. She has worked in a variety of contexts, including multicultural inner city schools. Michele's career in schools progressed quickly, working as Head of Department and holding Senior Management responsibilities. Michele's teaching has been a focus of a best practice programme delivered as teacher training material in Surrey .
Alongside Michele's career in Education, she has achieved accreditation as a Sport Psychologist, and has 8 years experience in working with a range of elite athletes and coaches in the UK . This has included support for athletes preparing for performance on the Olympic and World Championship stages.
Michele is passionate about the process of learning, and is fully committed to understanding and exploring the ways in which students learn most effectively. She has been highly successful in applying the techniques of ‘performing in the sporting context' to ‘performing as a learner'.
Recently, Michele has been the co-author of Alite's Learning to Learn programme for Primary School students. This exciting project has enabled Michele to combine her expertise and understanding of the learning process with the opportunity to engage younger learners.
Michele is a mother of 4 children, and as such is able to bring experience from the parent perspective as well as an understanding of how today's children live in our schools.
