Train the Trainer

Summary

The aim of the programme is to begin to familiarise participants with the philosophy, theory and principles of accelerated learning so that they can use these in the design and delivery of their own development programmes.

Participants will benefit from:

  • an intensive training programme designed around accelerated learning methodology
  • structured opportunities to reflect on their own professional practice and the applications of accelerated learning to the design of training experiences
  • exclusive access to the 101 top accelerated learning training and presentation techniques
  • designing their own training programmes using accelerated learning
  • access to the most up to date work on the brain and learning currently available in the UK
  • use of a specially commissioned course manual with copyright free resources and research drawn from around the world
  • networking with a group of professionals working in the development field
  • follow up support for those who wish it

The outline content of the Train the Trainer training includes

  1. the 4 promises of presenting
  2. a model for designing effective learning programmes for adults
  3. how to stop a room from ruining your day
  4. how to make training activities meaningful and memorable
  5. ten great starts to any training session
  6. coaching for learning
  7. two neglected secrets of learning: motion and emotion
  8. managing groups
  9. purposeful uses of feedback
  10. how to deal with questions whilst keeping the attention of an audience
  11. working across the 'presenting - developing continuum'
  12. finding, using and sharing research which is reliable
  13. keeping yourself positive at all times

The intensive programme is strictly limited in number. We work with 24 delegates on each programme. The programme is accredited via Alite. Participants have to attend all three days to complete. TTT is always delivered with individuals from different professional backgrounds to optimise shared learning.
